Marine FC to offer free entry for Spurs season ticket holders in 2021-22

How cool is this?

Season ticket holders of Tottenham Hotspur are getting a nice present from Spurs’ FA Cup opponents, Marine FC.

Everyone is excited for the improbably tie next month between the Premier League leaders and the eighth-tier side from Liverpool. Marine FC is getting all the publicity they could ask for and then some after news broke that BBC One will be televising the match from Rossett Park. Marine FC is now giving back to everyone involved, including Spurs supporters.

According to a press release this morning, Marine FC are offering free entry to Spurs season ticket holders in the 2021/22 season. It doesn’t matter the match, as written out below.

Since the draw was announced, Marine has been inundated by groups of Spurs fans coming to the Marine Travel Arena to take photographs of our proud stadium that their heroes will be playing at.

The tie will create a real bond between the football clubs and both sets of fans.

It has been an incredibly tough year for everybody in football. For Marine fans, we have had a once in a lifetime FA Cup run but sadly the ties against Colchester United, Chester FC and Havant & Waterlooville had to be played behind closed doors. This is devastating for the supporters of Marine and has also severely affected the revenues we would have otherwise received.

Likewise, Tottenham Hotspur fans have not been able to attend their games and have missed their team rise to the top of the Premier League. Tottenham fans also are not allowed to attend the FA cup match due to the pandemic.

An email should be sent at least 48 hours before any league game next season with your name and season ticket number to fans@marinefc.com stating the game you wish to attend. Instructions on ticket collection will then be provided.

We know that Marine FC are hoping the COVID numbers drop prior to their match so they can have some socially distanced fans in the stands. We’re all hoping the same thing happens, of course.

This is an incredibly classy gesture by Marine and their organization. Everyone involved cannot wait for this fixture and we can’t wait to cover it. That being said, it gave us an idea on how to support Marine as well. We reached out to the club to inquire about sponsorship for the match, and we’ll have another article regarding that here shortly.
