Hey, everyone!
The English Game, the Netflix miniseries from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, premiers March 20, and you can watch the trailer here.
Ramble of the Day
Making plans is funny business, isn’t it? I had (sort of) planned to get the Hoddle done early when I had a couple of moments, and tried to plan something out to quickly get done on a busy Sunday. That didn’t happen, and it’s 11:12p on Sunday night so it’s the perfect time for a free write.
The MLS match between Los Angeles FC and the Philadelphia Union isn’t even 20 minutes old yet, so at least I have some noise and society on the opposite coast to keep me company. Still, I’m looking forward to some sleep, and hopefully in the next few days, a few hours to really decompress. I don’t know how exactly I’m going to do it, but the weather seems to be aligning in a direction that would allow me to spend some time outside.
What I think I’m craving is punchy, brightly colored, fresh juice for that day. There’s nothing else in my mind about the moment otherwise — maybe laying down and listening to very soft music?
I really do feel we could all use some decompressing. No fault of any of us, but watching Tottenham has become a miserable experience lately and I can’t bear living in that feeling anymore. The Hoddle needs a pick me (us?) up, and that’s what I wanted to arrange for today. I even tried to get that process started, but distractions are always there, and conversations take so many directions. Tomorrow’s another day, though, and I’ll try to squeeze in some time to think about it.
I really want to enjoy tomorrow — not in a very profound way. I’d just like to calmly be satisfied with it. I can think of a list of things I have to get through first, though, but I’ll try not to stress about it. I’ve experienced a range of positive emotions over the weekend, but chilling sounds nice.
tl;dr: I didn’t really have a ramble prepared so I just went with some scattered thoughts instead.
