One day after arguably one of its biggest wins of the season, tragedy has struck a member of the Tottenham Hotspur family. The BBC is reporting that the younger brother of Spurs fullback Serge Aurier was shot and killed in the early hours of Monday morning in Toulouse, France.
Christopher Aurier was found by police with a gunshot wound to the stomach outside of a Toulouse nightclub. His assailant has not yet been apprehended. The BBC notes that the younger Aurier was also a footballer playing for Toulouse Rodeo, a local club playing in the fifth tier of the French football pyramid. The news was confirmed by Tottenham’s social media on Monday as well.
The Club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.
