It’s a busy day at Hotspur Way today.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp is reportedly going out on loan for the 2020/21 season, heading northeast to recently relegated Norwich City. This is according to most of the beat writers who follow the club, but Dan Kilpatrick and Charlie Eccleshare had it first:
#thfc Skipp had interest from German clubs Wolfsburg and Arminia Bielefeld, as well as Fulham, Huddersfield & Reading – but chose Norwich. Luke Amos heading to QPR on a three-year deal today. @standardsport.

Per @Dan_KP understand #THFC midfielder Oliver Skipp is set for a loan move to Norwich.

ICYMI at the time - interviewed Skipp last season. A really grounded guy who's still only 19 and looks to have a very bright future. https://t.co/MzDLusEs5Q
Spurs have already sent out highly touted prospect Troy Parrott to Championship side Millwall, so it’s good to see the club getting minutes to the teenagers that are expected to make an impact in seasons to come. Skipp garnering interest from the continent isn’t a surprise either, but staying in England seemed to be a priority for him.
Norwich will be trying to do the bounce and get back to the Premier League, but as is always the case, Premier League clubs are trying to pluck players from them now that they’re relegated. Their midfield minutes were quite spread out so there seems to be ample opportunity for the 19-year-old to see action.
We look forward to following Skipp’s progression in the Championship and see where it takes him after the upcoming season.
Update (2:00 p.m. ET) — It’s official! Skippy is a Norwich City player for the 2020-21 season.
We have reached agreement with @QPR for the permanent transfer of Luke Amos.
