Monday is an important day for Tottenham Hotspur — it’s the day they find out who they will be playing in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Europa League. The draw will be held to determine not only who they’ll be playing but also where — either home, or away somewhere in the wilds of Europe.

The Europa League is hardly glamorous, especially at this stage, before the main competition even begins. Spurs have to play through two rounds of qualifying as well as a play-in tournament to even make the group stages. Thankfully, the teams that Spurs could face are... well, let’s just say they’re not exactly well known, and because of COVID they’re only one leg instead of two.

Here’s a full list of clubs Tottenham could draw. (Full credit to Timmy L. who compiled this list in the comments of yesterday’s Hoddle, which saved me a bunch of research time.)

  • FK Kukësi
  • Servette FC
  • Aris FC
  • OFI Crete
  • FK Ventspils

  • FK TSC Bačka Topola

You may think you know about European football, and maybe you do. But I’m willing to bet you don’t know much about every team on this list.

So let’s have some fun. Here’s a little pop quiz — what country are all of these clubs from? I went ahead and made a Sporcle quiz to test your knowledge. It’s multiple choice, but I’m going to warn you — it’s HARD.

Feel free to post how you did in the comments. And NO CHEATING.

[Note: Sporcle quizzes are non-responsive when you embed them, so those of you on your phones may have some trouble seeing the entire quiz. Here’s a direct link.]
