Multiple reports on Friday say Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers agreed to a fee around £15 million for right back Matt Doherty, and that the right back will have his Spurs medical over the weekend. The Telegraph’s John Percy was the first to report the news.

Spurs signing Doherty has seemed imminent all week, after multiple reports about José Mourinho’s interest in the player. Doherty would be Spurs’ third signing of the window, and will add to the changes the team is making at right back after selling Kyle Walker-Peters to Southampton this month.

Per Fabrizio Romano, though, those won’t be the only moves in the position. Serge Aurier has been linked to a move away from North London during this window, with Romano reporting that Doherty’s signing may pave the way for Aurier’s exit. Romano also says AC Milan is still in the running to sign Aurier though Milan sporting director Frederic Massara this week denied that Aurier was a target for them.

Additionally, Sky Sports News’ Paul Gilmour added AS Monaco to the list of potential destinations for Aurier a week after Sky Germany reported Bayer Leverkusen was in the mix. Aurier was linked to Monaco as early as May of 2019, but he did stick around for Spurs’ 2019-20 campaign and played frequently under Mourinho.

EDIT (3:42PM ET): This is moving rapidly. Alisdair Gold is saying that, not only is the fee done and dusted but the medical is scheduled for tomorrow. He confirms that personal terms are agreed upon as well. All that’s left is for Doherty to pass his medical and takes the necessary PR shots.
