Until yesterday, American Tottenham Hotspur fans weren’t sure if they’d be able to (legally) watch Spurs’ Europa League 2nd Qualifying Round match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria. Now, we finally have a definitive answer, one day before the match. The match will, probably obviously, not be televised on American screens, but fans will be able to stream the match on Bleacher/Report Live for the cost of a subscription fee (currently $10/mo).
Edit: There’s a chance — a chance! — that this match may be streamed for free on the B/R Live app the way this summer’s friendlies were, but it’s difficult to get any confirmation. So we don’t know! The only thing for sure is that it will be streamed on the platform.
United Kingdom fans will be able to watch it, though also on a premium channel. The match will be televised on Premier Sports 2.
Should Spurs advance past Lokomotiv, it’s likely that their third qualifying round against the winner of FC Botoşani and KF Shkëndija will also be streamed on B/R Live, as will the play-off round. So if you do pony up for a B/R Live subscription, you may end up getting your money’s worth unless Spurs lay an egg in Eastern Europe. CBS All-Access has television and streaming rights for the Europa and Champions League matches starting with the group stages.
