Alex Morgan wears Tottenham Women training gear in Instagram story

It’s a pretty darned exciting day to be a Tottenham Hotspur fan. Not only are we waiting for the official announcements of the signings of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon (whose private plane has now landed at Luton Airport, for those plane trackers among you) but now we have MORE exciting news —

ALEX MORGAN IS READY TO TRAIN. Sorry for the size. Except I’m not sorry at all.

This screencap was taken from Morgan’s Instagram story this morning, and shows her wearing full Tottenham training gear. (And not just that, but I’ve never seen that training gear before, it’s wild)

The photo doesn’t explicitly state it, but the implication that she’s on the ground in England and ready to start training with her Tottenham teammates. That means that she’s had a shorter quarantine period than expected, but perhaps she got a professional athlete exemption like other footballers have gotten when moving clubs. Who knows! But it’s exciting!

Tottenham Hotspur Women don’t play again until next weekend when they play in a North London Derby against Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the 2019-20 FA Cup, which is still happening. Morgan hasn’t played a competitive match since she had her baby in May so I don’t know how realistic it is that she’d be ready to go by then, but even if she isn’t SHE’S HERE SHE’S HERE SHE’S HERE SHE’S HERE SHE’S HEEEEEEEEERE
