Tottenham Hotspur and their supporters have experienced a wild week, and it’s not over yet.
Reports coming out of Korea are confirming that Kim Min-Jae, the center back nicknamed Monster, has quashed a move to Lazio and made it clear he wants to go to Tottenham.
Both KBS and Sports Chosun with confirming reports.

Lazio move was supposedly never close and Kim Min-Jae never spoke to anyone from the team.
If Spurs match Lazio’s bid with their final proposal, it really looks like Kim could be headed to North London. https://t.co/sZESiSSCaB
KBS and Sports Chosun are probably the best sources we could get out of Korea regarding transfers. The Korean International has no interest in heading to Italy and wants to join Son Heung-Min in the Premier League.
Now, it bears mentioning that Spurs have not tabled their formal offer, but it seems that Lazio showed them the way. The Italian club’s bid was €13m + add-ons, so once the chaos of Friday passes regarding Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale’s transfers, this will almost certain move front and center along with the striker search.
All reports out of north London have stated that a new center back is on the list of necessary transfers and Sonny has gone as far as to push for the transfer in the past couple of months. Kim, who is 23-years-old, seems like a good value pick with high potential. I’d go so far to call him a lottery ticket. Stats suggest he’s been the best defender in the Chinese Super League for at least one season, but there’s a gulf of difference in competition between the two leagues.
Certainly there is more to come on this one. Spurs haven’t been linked to any other center backs that we can think of recently and this seems to be happening sooner or later. If Spurs get Monster, the only thing left is the never-ending saga of The Great Backup Striker Search of 2020™.
