Tottenham Hotspur’s crazy fixture calendar continues on Sunday when they host Newcastle this Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, despite the big energy generated from their two newest signings last week, they will need to do without both of them against Toon.
According to injury analyst Ben Dinnery, left back Sergio Reguilon will not make his Spurs debut on Sunday, as he is currently recovering from an ankle injury sustained with Spain in the last international break.
Sergio Regulion is training, but following an ankle injury suffered playing for Spain, the left-back will not be ready for this weekend. Japhet Tanganga and Gareth Bale also out.

We already knew that Bale would take some time to get up to fitness, considering he came into the club nursing a small injury and hadn’t had much of a preseason. The Reguilon ankle injury however is a bit maddening, as it means that both of Spurs’ most recent signings joined the club hurt, and this was not effectively communicated to the fans.
But if you’re looking for a silver lining, it’s this — apart from Bale, Reguilon, and Tanganga, everyone else is healthy (if maybe a bit tired). Giovani Lo Celso appears to be close to full strength, Tanguy Ndombele just went 90 minutes for the first time since December, and both Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane are both clipping along at a fast trot. (Those of you who are now screaming at me through your monitors that I cursed the club, jinxes are not a thing.)
I’m not sure what Tottenham’s lineup will look like on Sunday, but I know one thing: Ben Davies will be playing.
