OK, so I’ve given you a day to both calm down a bit, gain a bit of perspective, and also crystallize just how awful VAR and the handball rule both are as they exist right now in club football. And they’re pretty awful! But let’s not take away from the fact that despite a cruel draw against a garbage Newcastle team thanks to a VAR-enforced bulls—t handball call in the 97th minute, this was actually one of the best performances we’ve seen out of Spurs in the past few months.
Even so, football is dumb and bad. Time to rate the players!
Rate the players from 1⁄2 to 5 stars. If the player doesn’t deserve a rating due to minutes played, DO NOT RANK. I will round the stars up/down to the nearest half-star for the player ratings later this week.
