Up until about 30 minutes before this article went live, we still had no idea how, or even if, it was possible to watch Tottenham Hotspur’s final preseason friendly match against Watford on Saturday. But now we do.
While Tottenham hasn’t said anything formally about the match at Vicarage Road, Watford has now announced that the match will be streamed worldwide for £5 via Watford’s “Hive Live” streaming platform on their website. The match will NOT be televised anywhere in the UK or in USA, meaning it will NOT be on Bleacher/Report Live like past friendlies. Of course, if this should change, we’ll let you know.
Now, it’s your choice whether you feel this is worth the £5. You may feel one way or the other by knowing that about half the first team is away on international duty, including players like Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon, Steven Bergwijn, new signing Matt Doherty, Ben Davies, Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, and more. In addition, we haven’t seen or heard from Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez, or Giovani Lo Celso in a New York minute either, and Tanguy Ndombele is in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.
Who’s left? Players like Son Heung-Min, Danny Rose, Serge Aurier, Japhet Tanganga, Paulo Gazzaniga, Joe Hart, and Lucas Moura, plus a whole bunch of academy players. Whether that’s worth the £5 is up to you.
Here’s how you can watch.
