Tottenham drawn home to West Ham in League Cup quarterfinals

It’s another London Derby for Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.

Last season, Tottenham Hotspur had a relatively easy run to the finals of the Carabao Cup. This season, it’s anything but. Spurs outlasted Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the third round and narrowly won at Burnley just a few days ago. Today they found out their opponents in the League Cup quarterfinal draw... and it’s another tough match.

Spurs were drawn at home to London rivals West Ham, with the match taking place the week of December 20, 2021.

It’s a tough draw, though not the worst one. Unfortunately, Tottenham’s direct league rivals all drew easier opponents — Arsenal drew Sunderland at home, the only non-Premier League left in the competition. Chelsea were drawn away at newly promoted Brentford, while Liverpool drew a home tie against Leicester City. Spurs narrowly lost 1-0 at West Ham on October 24, but a home London Derby with a chance to return to the semifinals of this competition is a bit more enticing.

What do you think of the draw?
