We’ve been waiting for this, and now it has happened. Transfer rumor guru Fabrizio Romano has basically confirmed that come tomorrow Antonio Conte will be the new manager at Tottenham Hotspur. Yup, it’s a Here-We-Go!
Antonio Conte to Tottenham, confirmed and here we go. The contract until June 2023 will be signed on Tuesday. The verbal agreement is now completed. He’s back in the Premier League. ⚪️ #THFC

Romano wasn’t anywhere close to the first person to report this, but his reporting is more or less equivalent to the BBC saying it’s happening prior to the official confirmation. There were reports earlier that the official announcement could come tonight, but with it at the time of this posting just after 11 p.m. in the UK it’s much more likely that we’ll wake up to a “The club is delighted to announce...” tweet in our feeds.
Conte’s contract is apparently somewhere around the £15m/year mark over the course of his contract — the same as Spurs paid Jose Mourinho — and his deal has the option of a year’s extension should the club wish to do so. The players have also reportedly been alerted that Conte will take control of training on Tuesday. It’s not know which or how many assistants Conte plans to bring along.
This is exciting! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
