UPDATE: This account seems to be a fake Instagram account and is not the actual words of Nuno Espirito Santo at all. People are garbage.

We’ve heard from a lot of people since Nuno Espirito Santo was fired by Tottenham Hotspur in late October, but the one person we have not yet heard from is the man himself. Now, a week after he was fired, Nuno has broken his silence about what happened to him, posting on Instagram about being let go.

Nuno’s comments are honestly about what you’d expect from a professional football manager who has just been fired from his job. He alludes to how quickly everything fell apart (Manager of the Month to being sacked within two months), thanks the Spurs fans for being given the opportunity, and hinting that there’s more to come from him in football.

There’s not a ton to read into here — the thing you can say is that Nuno comes across as gracious and kind as he did throughout his short Spurs tenure. He’s a nice dude. Pity it didn’t work out. I have nothing against him (other than he wasn’t a good fit for my chosen football club) and hope he is able to land on his feet with a club that wants him.
