Brighton 1-0 Tottenham: player ratings as represented by a simple table

Because who wants to write about and relive THAT?

This is not a themed player ratings article. I make no apologies for this. After all, if Tottenham Hotspur aren’t going to show up and play football against Brighton & Hove Albion, why should I put in the time and effort for a ratings theme that talks about just how bad they really were?

Hoo boy, were they bad. Hyperbole aside (okay maybe not really but still actually) that was one of the worst performances I’ve seen from any Tottenham side in my 14 years as a Spurs supporter. And buddy, I’ve seen some BAD ones. The worst was that this wasn’t just a bad performance, there was an inevitability present from the opening kick where you just KNEW they weren’t going to score today.

It’s the day after the transfer window deadline. I didn’t rewatch this match. I’m not going to rewatch this match, nor am I going to painstakingly write out paragraphs about just how awful these players were at Brighton on Sunday.

Here are your player ratings as represented by a simple table, because that’s all this match deserves.
