Okay, so I know that headline is click-baity. I hate it when I see those because it almost never lives up to the hype.

THIS GOAL LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. LOOK WHAT ERIK LAMELA DID AGAINST ARSENAL IN THE NORTH LONDON DERBY.

Anyone remember the last time Erik Lamela did something like this? It was in the Europa League against Asteras Tripoli back in 2014. That was great. This? This came in the North London Derby very much against the run of play with Spurs’ first shot of the game.

Just watch that goal. It’s a goal. It’s a RABONA goal! IT’S A FREAKIN’ NUTMEG RABONA GOAL AGAINST ARSENAL IN THE NORTH LONDON DERBY HOLY FREAKIN’ MOLY WHAT EVEN WAS THAT

Lamela wasn’t even supposed to be in this game. He’s only there because Son Heung-Min pulled up with a hamstring injury and had to be subbed off. Whatever else happens in this match, and it’s the NLD so a lot can happen, this is one of those iconic NLD goals that people will talk about for YEARS. And that it came courtesy of Lamela, who hasn’t had one of those in his long Spurs career, makes it even better.

Build the statue of him outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
