Hi, all!

Unlike Dustin, I don’t have song recommendations. I did, though, find a tweet worth sharing.

Ramble of the Day

I was talking about this with someone a couple of days ago — I find it hard to get fussed about international friendlies but enjoy the thrills of international competition. Club football is easy to get invested in because it’s constant, but international friendlies are neither constant nor the main attraction. They’re in service to the upcoming tournament, which nicely delivers that feeling of constant content on a short-term while also breaking up the format with a knockout style that should hopefully provide one or two thrilling moments.

It’s really that feeling of constant content that really builds that feeling of excitement. It’s not just that everyone’s talking about it, but a lot of times, people are having fun while talking about things. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is a classic example of that.

This is a classic example of harmless fun when it comes to content, but also an example of someone who has perfected both his brand and delivery. I have very little to add, other than the fact that this is enjoyable and that Patrik Schick did score a very nice goal.

tl;dr: International tournaments inspire endless content, so here’s a video of Stephen A. Smith’s take on Patrik Schick’s goal from the other day.
