accidental kit leak

Hi, all!

We have forwards Jessica Naz and Kit Graham at the top today.

Ramble of the Day

Kit reveals are straightforward business. Footy Headlines always has the exclusive, we all share our thoughts, and weeks to months later we get the images without watermarks. It’s a fine order of events that brings no complaints, but I suppose others might want some of the fun of revealing a kit. By others, I specifically mean Chicago Customs and Border Patrol.

I cannot even begin to guess why Customs and Border Patrol thought the El Salvador kits were fakes. Maybe they have a reason. I obviously don’t know it — they didn’t feel like explaining in the second tweet, nor did I expect them to. I do have a question about CBP’s authenticating process, though: Couldn’t they start by asking Umbro if they knew about a shipment of kits arriving in Cincinnati on June 4?

It’s also pretty funny that CBP tweeted about this, but what else are you going to tweet about if you’re running the account for Customs and Border Patrol? (In theory, one could ask why Customs and Border Patrol has a Twitter account, but we don’t really have to get into that if we don’t want to.)

Since the Hoddle is now a space to celebrate a nice kit, though, it’s worth mentioning that this story is actually about a kit that looks like it could actually be pretty great.

Looking forward to seeing the whole thing, El Salvador!

tl;dr: Chicago Customs and Border Patrol accidentally leaked the El Salvador kit.
