OK, hold up for a second while I check on something. [looks at notes] Nope, Tottenham Hotspur still don’t have a manager, but they now have a full slate of preseason matches. Today, Tottenham announced two more preseason friendlies, both away from home — at Leyton Orient on Saturday, July 17, and at MK Dons on Wednesday, July 28.

If you’re keeping track at home, that makes four friendlies — the two above, and friendlies against Chelsea and Arsenal in The Mind Series, which will take place in early August.

  • @ Leyton Orient, Sat. July 17, 3 pm UK/10 am USA
  • @ MK Dons, Wed. July 28, 7:45 pm UK/2:45 pm USA
  • @ Chelsea (The Mind Series), Wed. August 4, 7:45 pm UK/2:45 pm USA
  • Arsenal (The Mind Series), Sun. August 8, 2 pm UK/9 am USA

Tottenham’s release says that due to currently-enforced COVID-19 restrictions, away fans are not allowed at either the Leyton Orient or MK Dons matches, and at present there isn’t any information about if or how the match will be streamed, either in the UK or outside of it. So we don’t know if American or international Spurs supporters will be able to watch either match. The Mind Series will very likely be available for streaming on the clubs’ media platforms, though nothing has been confirmed.

The Orient match is being dubbed the “JE3 Cup” in honor of former Spurs player and Orient manager Justin Edinburgh, who tragically passed away two seasons ago. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the JE3 Foundation, which was established in his memory. Orient is also famously where Harry Kane was given his start while on loan, and Kane has also sponsored Orient’s match kits each of the past two seasons.
