Looks like Dad’s gonna be out getting milk and cigarettes for a while longer yet. After seemingly coming close to hiring Mauricio Pochettino back last week, Tottenham Hotspur has since met with some serious pushback from Poch’s current club, PSG. In the meantime, Spurs went on to have a serious flirtation with Antonio Conte before everything fell apart on Friday.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, it looks like Poch is staying put even if Spurs were to try and rekindle the relationship again.

I would very much like to read an oral history of the past 2-3 weeks at PSG. Poch went from seemingly happy to under pressure for not winning Ligue 1 to unhappy due to a bad relationship with sporting director Leonardo to nearly joining Tottenham to now working on convincing Georginio Wijnaldum to ditch Barcelona. It’s been a wild ride.

Meanwhile, new Tottenham Director of Football Fabio Paratici is supposedly now directly involved in the managerial search, and there are unconfirmed (of course they are) reports that they are revisiting the appointment of some of their old shortlist candidates. We’re not sure who those candidates are, but names such as Erik Ten Hag, Roberto Martinez, and Atalanta manager Gian Perio Gasperini have been mentioned.

As usual, we really don’t know squat, but we’re just gonna keep posting through it until we have a picture of some dude holding a Spurs shirt. Wheee.
