That’s probably it for Tottenham’s incoming business. Despite being linked with the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlahovic, Houssem Aouar, Weston McKinnie, and a host of other players, Tottenham Hotspur have likely completed their incoming transfer business. That’s according to the Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, who tweeted as much in the wake of Emerson Royal’s completed transfer a few minutes ago.
#thfc That's Spurs done for today & the window in terms of incomings (barring a remarkable late development etc). Still a chance of some lowkey outgoings, including Carter-Vickers, before the deadline. https://t.co/GytrhHh110

“Low key outgoings” seems to imply that neither Matt Doherty nor Serge Aurier are set to leave the club, meaning Spurs have an absolute glut of right backs until at least January. That’s not great, but it does mean Nuno Espirito Santo is spoiled for choice when it comes to who he wants to roll out in the Premier League and Europa Conference League. It also means that at least one, possibly two, of Spurs’ four RBs are going to be unhappy with their playing time this season.
Looks like we’re very likely in for a quiet next four hours. It’s been a strangely sane deadline day. I’m not used to this. It’s weird.
