This bit of news came through just ahead of the transfer deadline, but too soon for me to get it written up before the window officially closed.
Quick trivia hit! Who was the first person to score a goal in the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium? If you answered “Son Heung-Min,” BZZZT, nice try. It was J’Neil Bennett, playing against Arsenal in a U18 test event match. File that one away, y’all. And now, J’Neil is heading to his first ever professional loan, to Crewe Alexandria in League One.
J'Neil Bennett has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on loan until January.

Good luck, J'Neil!
I haven’t followed Bennett’s career super closely, but the little I’ve seen of him in the the academy sides this season have impressed me. A loan to a League One side is pretty good in most circumstances. Crewe apparently had two season-ending injuries in the preseason, hopefully J’Neill will be able to get some good first team minutes on the wing and help them out.
Good luck, buddy! We’ll be watching you whenever possible!
