The official transfer of Cristian Romero between Atalanta and Tottenham Hotspur is imminent. Fabrizio Romano tweeted yesterday that the Argentine defender completed part of his required medical in Italy on Wednesday and is planning to fly to London today to finish up and sign the paperwork.
Cristian Romero successfully completed first part of his medical as new Tottenham player in Italy. He’s flying to London today to complete the second part and then sign with Spurs until 2026. Here we go confirmed. ⚪️ #THFC

Tanganga-Galatasaray loan deal - up to the player.
That means, apart from Romero falling into a hole immediately after stepping off of the plane, that we could get an official announcement possibly as early as today.

OK, this tweet was from last night so the plane has probably already landed. That makes things significantly less exciting as I drink my coffee this morning — these chartered flight planners need to think about the American bloggers — but does mean that we are just inches away from seeing Romero holding up a Tottenham shirt on social media.
Romero has the potential to be a hugely influential defender for Spurs for Nuno Espirito Santo this season. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a lot of time to get settled and up to speed before Spurs kick off their Premier League campaign against Manchester City on Aug. 15. Hope you like a challenge, Cuti!
