happy wednesday everyone! - fun fact: your HIC thought yesterday was monday

Tottenham Hotspur yesterday announced that they would hold an open training session for the men’s squad.

What does this mean? Well, for all your One Hotspur members and season-ticket holders it means you get the chance to watch the boys in lillywhite up close and personal.

For hoddling purposes, it gives us all a chance to lustfully glare at Ben Davies and remember this magnificent moment from one of Tottenham’s previous USA summer tours:

Why don’t we call Davies ‘Daddy Davies’ more often? Or ‘Daddy Ben’? Or ‘Daddy’? After all, we kinda have permission now.

Isn’t ‘Daddy Davies’ kinda cooler than ‘Gentle Ben’ anyways? Does a ferocious tackler like Daddy Davies deserve the moniker ‘Gentle Ben’? How, I pray, can someone with such smouldering eyes be called ‘gentle’?

No no no. It isn’t Gentle Ben. Strike that from your vernacular.

Call him ‘Daddy Davies’.

Also - I want to make this clear - those of you who do attend the open training session on November 28 also have your HIC’s permission to lustfully glare at Davies. That luxury is offered to everyone, not just commenters here.
