good morning!

The international footballing world has blessed us all with a weekend away from having to watch Tottenham play. So let’s continue to see how Antonio Conte’s future shakes out.

No Tottenham football means we have a whole weekend to ourselves! Of course there are some matches going on like Morocco-Brazil and Indonesia-Burundi, but for the most part the schedule looks pretty chill.

Your HIC will definitely get in a couple of runs this weekend. It was unseasonably warm on Thursday night (close to 80F!) and fitzie struggled during his post-work run. Still, that doesn’t deter me. I’ll be back on the trails Saturday and Sunday.

I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be feeling well enough too to run to the Tidal Basin and check out the cherry blossoms. Let us all hope the rain does not spoil the blooms!

I’ve also been on the search for a new apartment. After being DC-adjacent for the last nine months, I think it’s time to pop on over to the other side of the river. I’m not a fan of apartment searching, but I’ve made okay progress. We’ve got at least one apartment tour booked for Sunday.

And finally - perhaps most exciting - is that I’m hoping to catch Cocaine Bear with a friend this weekend. I’ve been wanting to see this movie since I first saw a poster for the film inside a movie theatre back in December.

Seriously, what could there not be to love about that film?

Anyways - that’s what I’ll be up to! Share your plans below if you’re feeling generous. And I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
