Spurs captain Son once more nominated for Premier League Player of the Month

Sonny just keeps racking them up!

After a rough November, things were a bit brighter in December for Tottenham Hotspur, due in part to the contributions of Spurs captain Heung-Min Son. Sonny has scored four goals while providing four assists for his teammates, as the Lilywhites have continued their push towards the top four (and higher). It’s therefore fitting that as a reward for his performances Son has once more been nominated for Premier League Player of the Month:

Son is up against seven other players: Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Marcos Senesi.

One player Son ISN’T up against is teammate Richarlison. The Brazilian can feel slightly aggrieved not to be nominated, going on a tear and scoring 5 goals in December following his return from groin surgery. There is, however, Spurs flavor elsewhere amongst the award nominations, with Guglielmo Vicario’s outstanding save on Danny Welbeck against Brighton nominated for Save of the Month.

Remember, there’s a public component to these awards, with voting for fans taken into account in determining who takes the plaudits - so feel free to click through the Twitter link above and vote for our captain! Good luck to Sonny.
