We’re still waiting on a couple of Tottenham Hotspur incomings (notably: Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin) but we have another outgoing to tell you about today — Spurs homegrown academy graduate midfielder Matthew Craig is heading out on loan to Doncaster Rovers in League Two until the end of the season.

Wishing you the best of luck, Matt!
Craig, 20, has been a fixture in Spurs’ U21s and in the Premier League 2 for the past couple of seasons and is highly regarded as a youth midfielder. He has also been capped by Scotland at the youth level. Craig has a twin brother, Michael, who also came through the Spurs academy and whom Tottenham sold to Reading in 2022.
I honestly haven’t tracked Craig’s career in the Spurs youth academy to get a sense as to whether he has a future in Tottenham’s first team or not. He’s getting a League 2 loan at age 20 and that’s pretty good. Doncaster Rovers are towards the bottom of the table, so my guess is they could use all the help they can get. Maybe Matty Craig can help with that.
At any rate, it’s good to see young Spurs players get what hopefully will be a productive loan. Go get ‘em, Matt!
