Kyle Walker could return to the pitch by December 3. According to the Telegraph, Walker and Tottenham Hotspur are circling that date for the right back's return. Conveniently, that is the date of the match against Chelsea.
There is reason to be skeptical of this report. He has been ruled out indefinitely and underwent surgery so the abdominal injury he is dealing with is obviously very serious and a December 3 return would be quite quick considering the previous information. On top of that, him playing against Chelsea in his first match back would be a very big ask.
Just because the report is optimistic doesn't mean it can't be true, though. Walker is reportedly already training on his own so to expect him back in full training four weeks from now is hardly unrealistic. That would give him three more weeks from there to get ready for the Chelsea match, which is, again, hardly unrealistic.
Spurs could certainly use Walker back. Kyle Naughton and Eric Dier have been fine, but Walker is significantly better. With the race for fourth place looking like a total toss up right now, any upgrade is huge and Walker would be a major upgrade.
Whether Walker returns on December 3, December 13 or even December 23, it sounds like things are getting better for him and that is very good news. But please be ready for the 3rd because that would be neat.
