Andros Townsend may not be available when Tottenham Hotspur take on West Brom this Sunday. The winger was injured in Spurs' Europa League draw and his availability for the weekend is in question.
Townsend suffered a dead leg on Thursday and was subbed off. After the match, Mauricio Pochettino said they would know whether he would be available on Friday.
"Andros has a problem with his leg," said Pochettino after the game. "It could be his glute, and Friday we'll know if he's available or not."
Unfortunately, that was not the case. Spurs still do not know if he will play.
The latest update from the club, issued after training on Thursday, indicated that Townsend's status was still up in the air. Townsend wouldn't be a huge absence for Spurs, considering he has struggled this season and has made just two league appearances, both off of the bench. It's not as if Tottenham need him, but he may still yet be available. Odds are, we won't know until the team is announced on Sunday.
