Tottenham Hotspur will host Brighton Hove and Albion on Wednesday, October 29 at 7:45 p.m. local time. The Capital One Cup fourth round draw pitted the two sides against each other last week, but a date and time had not been set. Now, it has.
The match will come at a busy time for Spurs. They have Europa League matches the weeks before after, meaning Tottenham will play seven matches in 23 days from October 18 to November. Luckily, they have shown that they can get results with second choice players and after Manchester City on October 18, one of the league matches are against the top six. There is also an international date after that 23-day stretch, so some players will get a nice, well-deserved break.
Brighton currently sit 17th in the Championship with nine points from nine matches. They haven't won a league match since August 23, drawing two and losing two, and their League Cup wins have come against Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town and Burton Albion, so they have hardly been tested. As far as draws go, Tottenham were very fortunate.
