Tottenham sign highly rated teenager Dele Alli

Tottenham Hotspur only signed one player on transfer deadline day, but the one they got is pretty exciting. Spurs have signed Dele Alli from MK Dons, giving them one of the top rated teenagers in all of England and they did it for a relatively inexpensive £5 million.

Alli will be loaned back to MK Dons for the remainder of the season, giving him more playing time and the chance to continue developing at the club where he has made such big strides. The 18-year-old is first choice with MK Dons and has been one of the League One side's best players despite his young age. He has also become a key part of the England U-19 team.

Alli is a central midfielder, who has been praised for his range and strength, as well as his ability to get forward and join the attack. His 12 goals this season are the most by any midfielder in England's top for divisions, and that's despite not being an attacking midfielder. Alli isn't going to make a huge impact right away -- he's not even going to be with Spurs this season -- but he's a massive talent and joins a midfield that is already stacked with young quality in Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason.
