You may remember young attacking midfielder Tomislav Gomelt from the 2011-12 NextGen series, where he scored a hat trick against Inter Milan's youngsters. The Croatian was just 16 then and a pretty highly touted prospect, but his development has stalled since. He doesn't appear to have a future with Spurs, so he's probably moving on. Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that he's close to moving to Bari.
Gomelt has had loans at Espanyol B and Royal Antwerp, but with limited success. Still, if Di Marzio's correct, Bari sees Gomelt as a player for not just the future, but right now. They seem to think he can contribute in Serie B right away, and good for them if that's true. Apparently, he's already training with the team and an official announcement should come shortly.
The fee for Gomelt isn't going to be anything significant, but Spurs probably will get a decent little payoff. Hopefully Gomelt can find a spot in the first team and get his pro career started for real.
