On Wednesday, we got some "news" that PSV Eindhoven had accepted a bid of cash plus Nacer Chadli for Memphis Depay. We didn't believe this at all, and for good reason. It's not a thing.
As expected, Chadli has no interest in going to PSV as part of this swap deal. Even if he did, it's unlikely that PSV would have valued him at the price he was purchased for last season and even more unlikely that they'd be willing to pay his wages. It's a rumor that never made any sense at all. If Chadli rejected chances to go to Swansea and Southampton, he was certainly going to reject a move back to the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, PSV claim that Spurs have made no contact about a Depay deal. "There has been no contact from Spurs whatsoever," said a PSV spokesperson, and it doesn't get any more straightforward than that.
This doesn't mean that Spurs aren't interested in buying Depay, and even though PSV are saying they expect him to stay, it doesn't mean they won't be willing to listen to offers. It just means that no formal bid has been made and that the rumored Chadli swap was always a completely bogus rumor.
