Andros Townsend probably won't be first choice at Tottenham Hotspur this season with Erik Lamela looking sharp and rumors swirling about a half-dozen other wingers, so we might see teams trying to come in for him late in the transfer window. According to the Daily Express, one of those teams could be Queens Park Rangers. They're reporting that Harry Redknapp is interested in Townsend and that QPR's bid would be £10m.
Based on everything we've heard from the rags this summer, it seems more likely that Nacer Chadli departs than Townsend. Fans would probably rather see Aaron Lennon go than Townsend as well, simply because he's older and has a much lower ceiling for growth.
But it's not clear if Mauricio Pochettino rates any of them, and he might be willing to let go of whichever one fetches the highest price. On the open market, that would almost certainly be Townsend, and Spurs could probably negotiate up a few million with QPR -- especially if they can get Loic Remy's wages off their books.
Your usual average source, no quotes caveats are needed here, but this seems realistic.
