Aaron Lennon could be on the move today, and it's no surprise that Harry Redknapp reportedly wants him. Redknapp loves nothing more than signing his old favorites and Lennon had some of his best seasons under Redknapp. He also loves doing business on deadline day, so this one is either definitely true or the Mirror knowing Redknapp's tendencies really, really well.
It looks like Lennon is second choice at Spurs, with Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli emerging as Mauricio Pochettino's favored wingers in the early going. That's not to say that Lennon would never play if he stayed at Tottenham -- he almost certainly would -- but he likely wouldn't be a week in, week out starter unless he starting playing stupendously. That makes an exit possible for him and with an adoring former manager calling, there's a good option for him.
Pochettino has made it abundantly clear that he wants to cut the size of the team and Daniel Levy would certainly be happy to cut the wage bill. As nice a player as Lennon has been for Spurs, if QPR -- or any club really -- make a decent bid, the winger will probably be out the door.
