Zeki Fryers was reportedly likely to join Crystal Palace when the day started, and very early in the morning it looks like that he will be making the move. The 21-year-old was spotted by Sky Sports News at Palace's training ground this morning to take his medical and finalize the transfer.
We knew that Spurs and Palace agreed to a fee for Fryers, but he still had to finalize personal terms. That has been taken care of, according to Sky, so the business is done.
Spurs had no use for Fryers and didn't want to send him out on loan so they had to sell him and the rumored £3 million transfer fee is a nice bit to pocket for a player who has done nearly nothing at the senior level. Meanwhile, Palace get a player who can play on the left, as well as in the center, which is tough to do on a small budget. All in all, this is a good move for everyone and one that should make everyone happy.
