Tottenham Hotspur have rejected two bids from Southampton for Andros Townsend, and indications heading into deadline day were that he was in Mauricio Pochettino's plans, despite grumblings of a swap deal for Jay Rodriguez.
We're just under 11 hours from the deadline, and we know less than we did yesterday. On Sky Sports News, reporter Jamie Weir claimed that there was little to no chance of Townsend leaving White Hart Lane on Monday, but other reporters seem to disagree with him.
Busy exit door at #THFC where Townsend to #saintsfc is 50-50, Strambouli should get done and Sandro & Lennon possible to #QPR

Spurs' willingness to trade Townsend - another England 'star' deemed not good enough for the elite (or even the second tier). Lots about

Obviously, Spurs are still very interested in Rodriguez, and if they're able to sell Sandro and another midfielder, they might not be done gunning for Morgan Schniederlin as well. Spurs want something from Southampton and Southampton want something from Spurs, so it would make sense that they're being tough negotiators on both sides, but still very willing to talk.
Get ready for a 10-hour saga. We'll be hearing stuff about this at 11 p.m. BST.
