Everton has had a rough season so far, and veteran center back Sylvain Distin has not done much to help the Toffees. West Ham has been looking to boost its center back depth after learning of reports linking star defender Winston Reid with signing a pre-contract for a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur. The two make natural deal partners, and Dystin has been linked with a West Ham move all day. But the move may now be off, according to reports:
West Ham also made a move for Everton defender Sylvain Distin but that also looks off now.

This comes on the back of reports linking Tottenham Hotspur's Younes Kaboul with a move to East London. Kaboul has fallen out of favor at Tottenham Hotspur, struggling to find league minutes as manager Mauricio Pocchetino has favored the combination of Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio. If Distin is no longer a candidate for a move to West Ham, that may just increase the likelihood of the rumored Kaboul move to Upton Park.
However, it seems that other center backs could be on the horizon as candidates for West Ham, as reports have linked Sengalese defensive midfielder/defender Kara Mbodj with a possible move to the Hammers:
Genk still believe Kara Mbodj could join West Ham by 11pm #whufc

So will Kaboul be off to West Ham? Who knows at this poitn.
