Daniel Levy is going to be hard at work over the next couple of days, trying to offload the players Mauricio Pochettino doesn't want while bringing in one or two reinforcements. But while he's waiting for Sven Bender and Saido Berahino to return his phone calls, he has some time to ring up Ed Woodward and try to sell him one Emmanuel Adebayor, lightly used.
Tottenham Hotspur need to offload the Togolese striker, who hasn't been given a squad number, so they figured it was worth a shot to see if Manchester United were in true panic mode re: their strikers. David Kent of the Daily Mail reports that Ade is considering his options, including United, as if it's a real option. Here's my favorite line in the story.
"Adebayor's preference is to stay in London; but he is willing to uproot from the capital for a switch to United."
No way!
Surely United isn't this desperate, though, so a switch to West Ham United remains the most likely move for Adebayor, especially after the Hammers missed out on Javier Hernandez.
