We don't know yet if it's a loan, purchase or loan with an option to buy, but it looks like Tottenham Hotspur have shipped Erik Lamela off to Olympique Marseille. Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that the deal is just about done.
And @Coco_Lamela to @OM_Officiel #DeadlineDay

Lamela was given a chance to shine in a substitute appearance a couple of weeks ago, to very mixed results. He was more ambitious than the rest of the players on the pitch, making forward passes into the box, but also had more turnovers in dangerous areas than he had quality passes and made a couple of very bad fouls. Apparently, Mauricio Pochettino wasn't impressed, because Alex Pritchard appeared ahead of him against Everton.
When Lamela joined Spurs, it was for a club record fee. But he's one of the biggest disappointments of the Bale Seven, which is saying quite a bit. With Clinton N'Jie and Son Heung-Min signing up, we won't be terribly broken up about this move.
We should have an update about the terms of the deal before the end of the night.
