Well, here's a rumor we didn't see coming. With Pato having so many question marks, Saido Berahino being so expensive and Charlie Austin being apparently of no interest to us at all, a new striker target has emerged: Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez. Adam Crofton of the Mail says Tottenham Hotspur have made contact.

Why Crofton's listed a transaction between two English teams in Euros, I don't really know. And that makes me suspicious. Maybe it's just a typo. If it's not, that's £14.6 million.
Like Berahino, Perez can play on the left or up top. He had a very good season for Newcastle last year, and was better than his seven goals in 39 appearances. He was a huge value for Newcastle at £1 million, and the price Crafton listed sounds like one that would be considered fair by both teams.
Your CFC staff are totally into this. We hope this becomes a thing.
